Energy Efficiency

We believe we can achieve our energy goals through use of renewable power and a relentless focus on energy efficiency, which will both reduce utility costs and greenhouse gas emissions from our hotels around the world. We have pledged to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 carbon intensity by 61% by 2030.

Water Stewardship

Recognizing water as one of the world’s most precious resources, we are focused on driving holistic water stewardship across our value chain. Hilton is committed to reducing our water use intensity by 50% by 2030, and implementing 20 community water projects to increase access and resilience. Reducing Waste

Hilton is committed to reducing waste and driving towards a circular economy. Waste prevention, recycling, and food upcycling and donation are all key components of creating a greener hospitality industry. We have pledged to reduce our waste by 50% by 2030. Our waste reduction strategy seeks to decrease the overall amount of waste produced in our hotels, while taking steps to divert remaining waste from landfill through donation, recycling, composting, energy from waste incineration and other opportunities.
